Rommel has numerous years of experience in handling tax, and corporate-related issues including tax and, customs due diligence reviews, tax assessments, incorporation and registrations, rulings, estate and wealth planning, and legal queries before the Revenue District Offices, National Office of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Bureau of Customs, and Court of Tax Appeals, as well as services related to Securities and and Exchange Commission, Cooperative Development Authority, Philippine Economic Zone Authority, and Board of Investments.

His clients include domestic and foreign corporations and other large taxpayers engaged and involved in manufacturing, retail, real estate, BPO, and insurance and cooperatives, Regional Operating Headquarters, foundations, and non-stock, nonprofit organizations and estates.

Rommel obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila School of Law and his Bachelor’s degree in Legal Management from Ateneo de Manila University. A recipient of the Grand Abacus Award in 2014, the Firm’s highest excellence award, he recently earned his Executive MBA from the Asian Institute of Management in 2025. A member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Rommel is currently a professor of taxation law at the Far Eastern University Institute of Law.
